PLANNED FEATURES

As I write this, SKRIBBLOR is only about a month old. It does most of what I need it to do already, but there are a few important features which will be added in upcoming releases. Here's the plan so far:

v1.1

Key feature: Ellipse tool

I'm not terrible at sketching ellipses on paper, but man do I struggle with it when working digitally. So at the top of my feature list is a tool for drawing ellipses, and especially one that will make the job of drawing foreshortened circles in perspective drawings easier.

v.1.2

Key feature: Linead tool

Another tool that's important for doing perspective drawings: a centrolinead. For those of you unfamiliar with the term, a centrolinead is a device that lets you draw lines which converge to a vanishing point that's off the edge of the page.

v1.3

Key feature: Gradients and pattern fills

Flat colour fills are great, but SVG supports gradients and pattern fills, and they can really help bring a drawing to life. The patterns I'm most interested in having are a variety of halftone screens, but all kinds of textures, grids, and patterns are possible with SVG, so we might as well take advantage of the capability.

Features Not Tied To A Release Version

There are loads of additional goodies I want/need to put into SKRIBBLOR at some point. Here's a list of some features that I'd like to add, but don't have a timeline for:
